TENEX

The generic name for Tenex is Guanfacine (Pronounced: GWAHN-fa-seen)

 
 

The Tenex Drug is generally used for treating high blood pressure, although it can be used for other conditions which may be determined by your GP or doctor.  Tenex can be used alongside other medicines and drugs or may be used on its own.

Tenex is an alpha agonist.  It dilates and relaxes your blood vessels and helps to decrease the heart rate, which will lower your blood pressure.

Certain medical conditions can interact with
Tenex, So it is important to speak to your doctor before taking Tenex.

Talk to your local GP or doctor if the following applies to you;

  1. If you are trying to get pregnant, your are pregnant or breast feeding

  2. If you are taking any other medicines, even non prescription or herbal

  3. If you have any allergies to foods, medicines or any other substances

  4. If you have kidney problems, liver problems or blood disorders

  5. If you have any known problems with your blood vessels

  6. If you have ever had a stroke or a heart attack

  7. If you are scheduled to have any surgery or operations


The following medicines may affect Tenex, Tell your GP or doctor if you are taking the following;

  1.   Tricyclic Antidepressants like amitriptyline

  2. Beta-blockers such as propranolo

  3. Calcium channel blockers like verapamil

  4. Barbiturates or hydantois as they may increase side effects

    Tenex, or you stop, start or change any other dosage of medicine along side Tenex.
